Frankie Magazine: Issue 54

Finally received my latest issue of Frankie in the post the other day, huzzah! I think there was delay with the shipping to the UK, so by the time it eventually got to me it almost got ripped in half due to over excitement. I'm really loving the cover design of this issue, it features a beautiful illustration of plants and flowers painted with a mixture of watercolour, acrylic and crayon by the lovely Angela Dalinger, definitely one to stick on the inspiration board!

Somewhere in between the luxuriously thick pages of Frankie is a short interview with the artist, where you can delve into her love for plants and discover her creative process. Angela has a passion for creation which is what makes her so successful, even though she only has a few potted plants dotted on her balcony she doesn't let that stop her from re-creating her illustrations from her imagination. The next few pages in the mag displays a variety of her work, not only does she work with plants and pretty patterns, but she also likes to illustrate portraits.

This issue also features a little section called "Part of the Scenery", a collection of photographs matching fashionable handmade clothes with breathtaking landscapes. I really like the simplicity and originality of the article, a nice little breather from reading.
